About Us

We first opened our little practice in Llandaff North in 2017, and we are delighted to say we quickly outgrew it! So, in August 2020, we moved into our new clinic in Ely, Cardiff. Since then, we have expanded, with hearing clinics located in Taff’s Well, and Cowbridge.

Our Journey

It would be pretty weird if people were just a set of ears and legs, right? Well, you aren’t!

When we opened our clinic in 2017, we wanted to focus on bespoke ear care to suit everyone; and that hasn’t changed. We like to create a hearing healthcare experience that is built on quality, with personable experts who treat patients as individuals.

November 2017

Cardiff Hearing was created, on the side of Sonja’s work as a Senior Paediatric and Adult Audiologist in the NHS.

June 2018

Sonja left the NHS to run Cardiff Hearing full time from her first clinic in Llandaff North.

2019

Sonja was awarded Commended Audiologist in the prestigious European wide Audiologist of The Year Awards, sponsored by Rayovac.

2019 and 2020

Cardiff Hearing was awarded a place in the top 3 hearing clinics in Cardiff with BestRated.com.

2020

With Covid-19 and a growing clinic, we needed to find somewhere to expand. That’s when we moved into our new Covid-secure and accessible HQ in Ely.

2020-2021

To best serve you through the pandemic, the Cardiff Hearing team grew with new in-house staff and associates.

2021

Cardiff Hearing was awarded SME News’ Business Elite Awards of 2021 for Most Reputable Audiologist and Hearing Specialist in Cardiff.

Ears are quite complex and can often throw up a variety of problems. As a responsible clinic, we ensure that each treatment is carried out by an expert. When you come to us, you know that you are in safe hands.

We want to ensure that when we carry out treatment that it is performed correctly. So, on the odd occasion where you may come to us for help with something that’s beyond our scope of practice, we can refer you to the right people. We work closely with many specialists and can refer you privately to whoever you may need to see, whether it’s privately or through the NHS.
