Royal Northern College of Music
Sonja was a guest hearing health workshop leader at the Royal Northern College of Music. She also provided students with student discounted custom made filtered noise protection and in the ear monitors to help protect their most valuable tools.
Sonja was keynote speaker at the British Canoeing Coach Conference talking about using kayaking as rehabilitation. She also ran a workshop on sport inclusion with Chris Brain.
Sonja gave a guest lecture at Glyndwr University to Sport Psychology students about using sport as rehabilitation.
Since 2013, Sonja has covered a variety of Senior Audiologist roles in the NHS across the UK, particularly within paediatric audiology within child development centres, working alongside ENT/Audiovestibular Consultants.
The BBC National Orchestra of Wales
Sonja was asked by BBC NOW to create a tailor made workshop focused on hearing health, delivered at Hoddinott Hall to the full orchestra and management. Sonja continues to have a relationship as a consultant trainer and clinician for NOW
As a Consultant Trainer for Widex UK and Ireland, Sonja provided clinical audiology training to their national clients and provided fun and interactive training to their internal staff. She also acted as a mentor and coach to new members of internal staff.
Sonja is one of the Audiologists hired by Medico Testing Solutions to performs audiological testing for their noise induced hearing loss claims cases.
Using her clinical knowledge of disability & passion for watersports, Sonja works with Surfability CIC to deliver accredited theoretical and practical inclusive and adaptive surfing training to surf coaches across the UK
Disability Sports Wales
In August 2017, Sonja hosted a 3 hour interactive workshop for the team at Disability Sport Wales all about hearing loss and sport participation. Stay tuned for updates!
Sonja is also an independent tutor for DSW delivering UK Disability Inclusion and Sainsburys Active Kids Training.
